Together with the people of Tomorrowland we helped create a multi-sector planning tool to optimize management and monitoring of handling equipment on large building sites into one digital platform.

Challenge

How can we co-create long-lasting and sustainable impact?

Keeping the overview on large building- and construction sites is more than a handful. The operational stakeholders - from machine operator and project manager to supplier - are confronted on a daily basis with complex administrative duties along the process of building, which distracts them from their actual job.

The perfect role for us was in the optimization of planning and organizing the handling equipment within this ecosystem both on the operational and strategic level.

It was important that the solution invigorated a more sustainable supply chain, cost reduction and more efficient all-over logistics.

It is here that our experience within the building and construction industry proved to be exceptionally valuable.

Outcome

A multi-sector planning tool to manage and monitor handling equipment on large building sites

From the initial idea to facilitating the design sprint, sketching and testing the concept ideas, shaping its value proposition and business case to the successful implementation in less than three months, My Asset Planner became more than a product we are proud of.

Together and in co-creation with the different stakeholders, we ended with a disruptive multi-sector planning tool to manage and monitor the use of handling equipment on large building and event sites.

A unique approach that led to hands-on digitization in the industrial sector that improved the lives of all involved on a daily basis.

Impact

Unburdening the entire ecosystem

We measure the impact of My Asset Planner based on the succes for each of the stakeholders within the ecosystem. Two years after go-live 98% of eligible customers in the building and construction industry switched from their conventional way of working to using My Asset Planner.

The customers on their end saved a wicked 27% on average on operational efficiency in planning and managing construction sites and 25% less rented handling equipment and thus expenses per project. For the rental company on the other hand this resulted in a 15% increase of revenue per customer for handling equipment and a 95% increase on customer satisfaction for digital services.
